This morning we left quite quickly !!! We had a good stop in the centre of Civitavecchia to check out the statut of the couchrequests made for Roma... Still no positive answer...

Despite this not so good news we hit the road with strong legs, decided to enjoy our journey whatever happen !
Most of the time we were cycling really close to the sea... So we decided that after 40 km we would deserve a nice break on a beach and a good swim in the sea !!

And this is exactly what we did in Ladispoli... Whatever happen... Happened !

We stop at a fruits store, because honestly when you are cycling under the sky of Italy, fresh fruit becomes your favourite food !!! So here we are at the fruits heaven...

A guy with a guitar was sitting there, when he saw us he smiled and told us right away that he way happy to see us ! Why ?

"Well now, he said, I know I'm not the only one who wear a helmet on my bicycle !"

And it makes me realise that this is something I didn't told you about ! No one (almost) wears a helmet on their bicycle !!

Anyway, we start chatting and telling the guitarist about our trip. The fruits man didn't speak English but the translation was made. Finnaly we discovered that the fruits butcher as we will call him later, was also a musician. As he gave us his YouTube link we gave him our blog link.

JC (guitar guy) took a look at Riko's bike and as from the beginning we wanted to make some improvement to the latter, he indicated us a place where we could find everything he needed.

Then come the times of thanks and goodbyes... And gifts ! Dario (fruits butcher) didn't want us to pay anything ! He said : "go to the beach and enjoy !".

So we took his word as a command... :) and please admire how Riko enjoyed his watermelon as a stone age man...

After heating graps and bananas, it was so hot that when we went swimming in the sea... I didn't even took the time to change and dived into the water with my clothe on ! I thought... What the hell I'm going to be dry by the time we get to Roma anyway...

And I was in fact practicly dry. If it wasn't for the water I pulled on me in the toilet of a gas station... We don't change good habits... I might not have talked about this during my travel in Spain. But I used to stop at gas station to use their toilet as bathroom, hahaha !

So as you know we had no host for Roma. The nearest camping was still too far from the city to be able to enjoy properly the treasures they are to visit in this city. So we jumped into an Internet point trying to contact hostels but the prices where quite expensive even for dorms (between 25 € to 35 € when not even higher).

We decided to try it the Siena way : going as close as we can to the city centre and looking for a place that would be : "the greatest deal ever

And that's again what happen !

We crossed a sign indicating the direction to a hotel/residence Magnolia.
Since we were really close to the Vatican, we decided to believe and god's misterious acts and we followed the way to this place.

So here we are, in a nice small appartment (yes we have a small kitchen)  for the ridiculous (regarding the city and how close we are to it) amount of 70 € per night, ready to live as roman folks for the 3 - 4 days to come ;)
